Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit schweizersoftware.ch, for what purpose and where. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

In short: this website sets no cookies, shows no advertising, and embeds no third-party content that follows your visit. Details you enter yourself are stored in a data centre in Switzerland.

Who is responsible

The operator of schweizersoftware.ch is responsible for processing. For any question about data protection, including requests about your data, reach us through the contact form with the subject “Request about my data”, or by email at support@schweizerform.ch.

What data we process

When you visit the website

To deliver the pages, our hosting provider processes technical data that every browser sends, including the IP address, the page requested, the time and the browser type. We do not need this data for any purpose of our own.

For our own statistics we also record which pages are viewed and which links to our apps are clicked, in which language, and which website a visit came from. Of the referring website we keep only its name, never the full address. No IP address, device identifier or profile is stored.

So that several page views from the same visit belong together, the website keeps a random identifier in your browser’s session storage. It is deleted as soon as you close the tab. On its own it cannot be linked to you as a person. If you join a waitlist during that visit, however, it is stored with your entry (see below).

When you join a waitlist

We store your email address, the app you are interested in, the language and the page on which you signed up. Optional answers you choose to give — business size, the tool you use today, what you would pay — are stored too, along with the time of your consent and its exact wording, the first page of your visit, and the random identifier of that visit. Through that identifier, the pages you viewed during that visit are linked to your entry — which is how we see which articles lead people to an app.

Purpose: to notify you once, when the app is available, and to see which apps are wanted. The address is used for nothing else and is not passed on.

When you write to us

We store your name, your email address, your company if you give one, the subject you chose, your message and the page you wrote from.

If you write by email, we receive your address, your message and whatever you send with it. Email to this address is held by our email provider, Infomaniak, in Switzerland.

Purpose: answering your enquiry, and nothing else.

Where the data is stored

Details from the waitlist, the contact form and our own statistics are stored with Supabase, in a data centre in Zurich. The provider is Supabase, Inc., based in the USA; the data itself is kept in Switzerland.

The website is delivered through Cloudflare, a provider based in the USA with a worldwide network of data centres. The technical data produced when a page is requested may therefore also be processed outside Switzerland, including in the USA.

Cloudflare also provides us with visitor statistics. According to Cloudflare, these work without cookies and without recognising individual visitors.

What this website does not do

• It sets no cookies.
• It embeds no advertising, no social media buttons and no third-party videos.
• Fonts and images are served by this website itself, not by third parties.
• Your data is neither sold nor used for advertising.

How long we keep data

Waitlist: until the app is available and you have been notified, or until you ask us to delete it. If an app is not pursued, its entries are deleted.

Messages: for as long as is needed to deal with your enquiry.

Statistics: our own statistics contain no names, email addresses or IP addresses, and are kept without a fixed limit. They are linked to a waitlist entry only through the identifier of the visit in which you signed up. If your entry is deleted, that link goes with it.

Your rights

You can ask at any time which data we process about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You can withdraw consent — for a waitlist, for instance — at any time.

To do so, write to us through the contact form with the subject “Request about my data”, or by email at support@schweizerform.ch. So that we never give information to the wrong person, we reply to the email address in question.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

Changes

We update this policy when the website or the services it uses change. The version published here applies; the date of the last change is shown at the top of this page.
